Warm blankets, delivered ahead of the coldest months to the families who need them most.
Why it matters
High-altitude and roadside communities face brutally cold winters, and blankets are consistently one of the most requested items when chapters ask what a village actually needs. Ahead of the coldest months, chapters run collection and purchase drives among members, then deliver directly to families identified by local community leaders.
Deliveries prioritise the elderly, young children, and households without any form of heating — not a blanket-per-person handout, but a targeted list built with people who actually know the village.
How a drive comes together
Chapters flag high-altitude and roadside routes with communities facing the harshest winters.
Members contribute blankets or pool funds to purchase them in bulk ahead of the coldest months.
Village leaders help identify the households that need it most, rather than a generic per-person handout.
Elderly residents, young children and homes without heating are reached first.

New blankets in hand, ready for the cold months ahead.
The village pradhan already had a list ready when we arrived — he knew exactly which three households didn't have a single blanket between them. That's what made it feel like real help, not charity theatre.
